PointsMaxxing tells you which card in your wallet is likely to earn the most at the shop you're standing in. That's a suggestion built from published reward rates — not financial advice, and not a promise about what your card will actually pay you.

Reward programs change their rules whenever they like, and sometimes without announcing it. Before you make a decision that matters, check with your card issuer. They are the only authority on what your card earns.

PointsMaxxing is operated by 14494466 Canada Inc., a corporation incorporated federally in Canada with its registered office in Ontario, Canada. Where these terms say “we” or “us”, they mean that company.

You tell us which cards you carry. We hold a catalog of published earn rates, annual fees and point valuations, and we use those to rank your cards for a given place or category.

We also point out when a card you don’t hold would earn more than anything in your wallet, and we’ll link you to the issuer’s own page for it. That is a comparison, not an application and not a recommendation that you should apply — whether a card suits you depends on things this app never sees.

Everything it produces is an estimate. The annual figures — what your wallet earns, what you're leaving behind — are modelled from national-average spending, not from your actual spending, which we never see. Treat them as a way to compare cards against each other, not as a forecast of your own return.

We verify reward rates and point valuations against issuers’ own public pages — but a rate can change the day after we check it, and we don’t re-check every card every day. Point valuations are our own estimates of what a point is worth, and reasonable people value points differently.

So: we don't guarantee that any rate, fee, valuation or recommendation is current or correct, and we aren't responsible for rewards you didn't earn, fees you didn't expect, or a card you applied for on the strength of what this app showed you. Verify with your issuer before acting.

Your agreement with your card issuer is the only document that decides what your card earns and what it costs. Nothing in this app and nothing in these terms changes it, and where the two disagree, your issuer’s terms are the ones that count.

Nothing here is financial, tax or legal advice, and we are not a bank, a lender, a broker or a financial adviser. We don't issue cards and we have no say in whether you're approved for one.

You sign in with an emailed code or with Google. Keep access to that email address secure — anyone who can read your inbox can sign in as you. Sign-in codes are single-use and short-lived; don't share them with anyone, including someone claiming to be us. We will never ask you for one.

You need to be old enough, where you live, to agree to these terms and to consent to the data handling described in our Privacy Policy. Everything you add — your cards, your preferences — should be accurate, because the recommendation is only as good as what it was given.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. That removes your profile, your cards and your preferences. Some records survive deletion for good reason, and the Privacy Policy says which and why.

Use the app as a person choosing a card. Don't scrape or bulk- extract the catalog, don't automate against our servers, and don't try to get at data belonging to anyone else. The place-lookup feature is metered per account so one user can't exhaust it for everyone — working around that limit, including by creating accounts in bulk, is not on.

We may suspend or close an account that does any of the above, or that uses the app to break the law.

Today, we don't. There are no ads in the app and no affiliate links in the catalog.

If that ever changes we'll say so here and next to the link itself — and a commission will never change the ranking: cards are ordered by what they earn you, and a paid placement that reordered your wallet would make the whole product worthless.

The chain store locations we ship with are © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database License. Other nearby places come from Google. Card names, issuer names and program names belong to their owners and are used to identify the products they refer to; we're not affiliated with or endorsed by any card issuer or reward program.

Everything else here — the app, the site, the copy, the design — is ours. Don’t copy or redistribute it.

The app is provided as it is, without any warranty. We don't promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and we may change or discontinue features. Some parts depend on services we don't control — your device's location, an issuer's website, a maps provider — and those can fail on their own.

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app — including rewards you would otherwise have earned.

Nothing in these terms takes away consumer rights you have under applicable law. Where local consumer protection law conflicts with anything above, that law wins.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. If you don't, delete your account.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
